5月27日，随州市社会体育指导员协会成立。社会体育指导员被誉为开展全民健身工作的“牛鼻子”，我市现有社会体育指导员1536名（其中国家级5名、一级137名），广泛分布在乒乓球、篮球、门球、武术、健身气功等体育项目中，为我市全民健身活动作出了积极的贡献。
