八根文化柱采用花岗岩制作，下方石雕为曾侯乙墓出土的国家级文物编钟、尊盘、鉴缶、大尊缶、联襟对壶、金碗及金杯、龙凤玉佩、磬架图案。
据悉，随州新火车站广场于今年7月开始进行建设，广场占地面积约100亩，计划投资2000多万元。
