当地时间5月20日，韩国联合调查团在首尔公布正式调查结果，称天安舰因遭到朝鲜小型潜水艇发射的鱼雷攻击而沉没，在事发海域搜到的鱼雷零部件与朝鲜CHT-02D鱼雷设计完全一致。
韩国联合调查团在首尔公布正式调查结果称天安舰因遭到朝鲜小型潜艇发射的鱼雷攻击而沉没。“天安”号警戒舰3月26日晚在韩国西部海域值勤时因发生爆炸而沉没，舰上104名官兵中仅58人生还。
