根据同时曝光的中国联通内部培训资料来看，中国联通iPhone可能会带有Wi-Fi功能，但并没有说明是哪款iPhone拥有Wifi功能。
9月28日联通3G正式商用的新闻发布会当天，联通正式对外宣布了iPhone在华销售的具体政策和资费。从10月1日起，中国联通3G网络将正式商用。正式商用后，3G资费全国统一，有手机用户套餐和无线上网卡套餐。手机用户套餐包括3G基本套餐、3G学生套餐和3GiPhone套餐三种。其中，3GiPhone套餐从126元至886元共8档。
