同时，暴雪的设计师在CVG的采访中曾表示，虽然现在还没有相关游戏登陆家用游戏机平台，但是很多现象表明，即时战略游戏将会登陆家用游戏机平台，只是现 在还不是最佳时机。
暴雪的游戏登录家用游戏机平台不是没有先例的，早在九十年代的时候，暴雪的游戏《The Lost Vikings》、《Blackthorne》、《Rock N' Roll Racing》就是发布在16位游戏机上的！
暴雪也曾发布过PlayStation版本的《暗黑破坏神》、《魔兽争霸2》等等。
