消息称，Windows 8的开机速度极快，几乎在你按下开关几秒钟就可以完成，并且当客户要检查电子邮件，看体育比分或播放媒体文件，一切都要做到最快。蓝牙3.0和USB3.0自然是Windows 8的标配，系统还将采用更加智能的传感器支持框架，例如让Windows 8可以适应未来显示器上的传感器来调节亮度。除此之外还会有更强的帮助系统和磁盘加密特性，更安全，也更好用。
